How it started
ONE GYM.
ONE BIG RISK.
In 2019, owner Cody Neer did what every independent gym owner dreams of doing — he opened his own gym. Then, almost overnight, the world shut down. COVID closed gyms everywhere, and his new gym’s future was suddenly on the line.
With the doors he fought for under threat, Cody started a shirt club to keep the lights on. One gym. One shirt at a time. Members signed up, shirts shipped, and the gym survived.
That shirt club became Gym Shirt Club — a monthly membership that now celebrates independent gyms all across the country, starting with the one that started it all.
